Scripture: Verse 18 talks about what we allow to control us. What does it mean to be “filled by the Spirit” when we drive, do our jobs, relate to our friends?

Accountability: Who in your life lives out these verses? Why? What do you see in them? How has being with them influenced you?

Transformation: Verse 20 says to “give thanks to God the Father for all things.” What does that mean? And how do we develop a spirit of gratitude? Do you need help in this area? What could be a next step for you in becoming more grateful?

The Silent Battle

As anxiety creeps into our lives, are we equipped to handle it? Does the Lord supply doctors, therapists and medications? Certainly. But anxiety can be a silent battle, until we give it a voice – and acknowledge it with grace, truth and love. The best gift we’re given is the Holy Spirit, God’s presence with us. Not only are we never alone through our battles but He gives us others in community to walk with us.
