Transformed | Scripture Reference: 1 Timothy 4:1-8
Discuss the following questions with your Small Group:
1. What impact do you think your physical health has on your spiritual health?
2. Throughout history, it seems that people either worship the physical world or they think that it is worthless – people can be obsessed with our bodies or mistreat them because they are not important. Which tendency are you more susceptible to?
3. Read 1 Timothy 4:1-8. What does it tell us about physical exercise and the material world in which we live?
4. Read 1 Corinthians 6:12-20. The Bible says your body is God’s property and that you are the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit.  How does that affect the way you see yourself?  What do you think you will do differently knowing this?
5. God expects you to manage your body.  Why is that so important to God?
6. What does it look like to manage your body?  How good a manager do you think you are?
7. Why do you think most Christians tend to talk about spiritual health or ideas as opposed to our bodies?

Current Series

He Gets Us

Though Jesus walked the earth 2,000 years ago, He still knows about the problems you face today. Not only does Jesus know what plagues us as a culture, He gets us. Jesus can relate. He was tempted, too. He was disrespected, too. He was doubted, too. He mourned, too. He suffered, too.

Faith Church is joining other churches in the Chicagoland area for the series, He Gets Us. We’ll explore that Jesus knows about our insecurity, exhaustion, anxiety, guilt, loneliness and grief. Join us for this new series as we find assurance in knowing we aren’t alone in this world. We have a Savior who gets us and cares about what we are feeling.
