November 6 - November 8

Faith 5/6 Retreat

Dates: Nov 6-8

Times: We will meet at church on Friday, Nov 6, at 11:45 to load the vans and leave by noon. We will return to church on Sunday by around 3:00 pm. We will use a group chat to update you on our timing.

Cost: The original cost of the retreat was $210, but due to fundraising and donors, the current retreat cost is a maximum of $100, with $50 due at registration. The cost may decrease with one more fundraiser happening on Sept 13, and it also depends on the number of kids who register.

Food: SpringHill provides all meals and has a process for special diets to ensure every kid gets food they can eat.

Activities: SpringHill will have the following activities open this weekend: Ziplines, Paintball, Climbing Walls,

Large Group Games, Archery, Laser Tag, Indoor Pool, High ropes course, Open Gym and Crafts & Tie Dye. All activities except paintball and crafts are free (prices for those two will be finalized closer to the retreat). All activities are challenge by choice, meaning although we encourage kids to try, they will never be forced to do anything they don’t want. SpringHill also provides well-trained staff to run the activities and ensure your kids are safe. (I also used to work at SpringHill as a program and activity director, so I will be there to help ensure safety and assist kids through the activities.)

Jesus: SpringHill will have four sessions that we will attend with a speaker and a worship team. The worship team even consists mostly of middle school and high school students! After each session, we will break into small groups to debrief.

Medications: Yes, kids should bring their prescribed medication or allergy medication with them for the weekend. However, the medication should not go into their luggage; instead, it will be given to Jen Lang at drop-off on Friday. Jen is a nurse and will ensure kids get their medication at the appropriate time. SpringHill also has an infirmary stocked with over-the-counter medication, and a first responder will staff the infirmary throughout the weekend.

Cabins: The cabins we will stay in have bunk beds and are heated. Kids will need to bring bedding or a sleeping bag.

Registration closes Oct 11, and the final payment and health forms will be due Oct 25. Registration can be found HERE!
