Faith Students Someone Cares

 

“Someone Cares” is a collaborative effort among local churches in Northwest Indiana to serve the community with love and kindness in Jesus’ name. It is for all 6th-12th grade students. The initiative unites students to make a real difference in neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces. The ultimate goal is for residents to see Christ’s love in action and ask, “Why are you helping us?” — so we can share that it’s because Jesus cares.
Purpose & Goals

• Transform neighborhoods through partnerships with local businesses and city officials.
• Address community needs via cleanup, building, planting, and updating areas.
• Bring hope and gospel change by creating safe, welcoming, and beautiful spaces.
• Demonstrate love and care for residents, fostering community growth and unity.

What Will We Do?
Students will engage in meaningful, hands-on service projects, including:

• Clearing out and revitalizing neglected areas to make them safe and welcoming.
• Updating and beautifying parks and public spaces for families to enjoy.
• Building and planting resources to help residents and encourage community growth.

This isn’t just cleanup — it’s about restoring hope, creating spaces for people to gather and thrive, and showing residents they are loved and valued.
