Rhythm of Celebration

Series: Rhythms. the way of Jesus

Passage: Philippians 4:4-9

Message: The Rhythm of Celebration

Scripture: “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say rejoice!” What an admonition. How is this possible?

Does this mean that no matter my circumstances I am to act like I’m in “party mode?” What does this verse mean to you, especially since you know that Paul wrote it from prison (and Roman prisons were not easy places).

Accountability: Share with your group, what are your “joy robbers?” What one thing can you decide to do today which will bring more true (not circumstantial) joy to your daily life?

Verse 8 is a pretty clear recommendation about what to put into our minds. Based on this list, what do you want to delete from your daily input of messages?

Transformation:  Richard Foster writes, “We will not know genuine joy until there is a transforming work in us.” Do you agree? Do you disagree? Why? Then tackle this, can your non-believing, non-transformed friends experience joy?

Truth in Genesis

What’s truth? We live in a society where people tend to define their own truths, using their own guidelines. Where values and beliefs are spun in such a way that makes us question if God’s way really is the best.

But does a Universal Truth exist? We believe there is and it’s been recorded in roughly 757,000 words. We invite you to join us as we open that source, God’s Word, and equip you to have complicated conversations with those who are defining their own truth.
